Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Black, tarry stools
  2. bleeding gums
  3. blood in the urine or stools
  4. body aches or pain
  5. chills
  6. collection of blood under the skin
  7. coughing up blood
  8. difficulty in breathing or swallowing
  9. dizziness
  10. ear congestion
  11. fever
  12. headache
  13. increased menstrual flow or vaginal bleeding
  14. itching, pain, redness, or swelling
  15. large, flat, blue or purplish patches in the skin
  16. loss of voice
  17. lower back or side pain
  18. muscle or bone pain
  19. nosebleeds
  20. painful or difficult urination
  21. paralysis
  22. pinpoint red spots on the skin
  23. prolonged bleeding from cuts
  24. red or black, tarry stools
  25. red or dark brown urine
  26. sneezing
  27. sore throat
  28. stuffy or runny nose
  29. ulcers, sores, or white spots in the mouth
  30. unusual bleeding or bruising
  31. unusual tiredness or weakness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Constipation
  2. diarrhea
  3. difficulty in moving
  4. joint pain or swelling
  5. muscle cramps or stiffness
  6. nausea
  7. rash
  8. stomach pain
  9. vomiting
