Kurt A. Jaeckle, M.D.

Dr. Jaeckle is a medical neuro-oncologist and Professor of Neurology and Professor of Oncology at the Mayo Clinic Florida, where he has served as a faculty member and consultant for over 20 years. Dr. Jaeckle is co-director of the Neurooncology Clinical Trials program at MCF. He is Board Certified in Neurology and in Neuro-oncology. He has previously served as Chair of the Neurooncology Section of the American Academy of Neurology, Co-Chair of the NCI-supported NCCTG Neurooncology Committee, Chair of the SWOG Neurooncology Committee, Chair of the Society of Neuro-oncology Bylaws Committee, a member of several NIH/NCI Review Committees, and the National Cancer Institute Brain Malignancies Steering Committee. He previously served as Deputy Chair of Neurology, and Director of the Neurooncology Fellowship Program at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center; and was Director of Medical Research at the Atlantic Center for Research, Atlantic Health System, and Co-Director of the Glasser Brain Tumor Institute, Atlantic Health System in New Jersey. Dr. Jaeckle was an instrumental leader in development and implementation of the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) Neuro-oncology Certification and Accreditation Program. He is currently a member of the ASCO TAPUR Molecular Tumor Board. Dr. Jaeckle has been Principle or co-PI for several NCI Cooperative Group trials, investigator-initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials for patients with primary and secondary CNS malignancies.
