Candace F. Granberg, M.D.

Candace Granberg, M.D., is a pediatric urologist with specialty interest in pediatric urologic cancers and complex pediatric urologic conditions, and/or medically complex patients with common urologic problems. Her clinical focus includes:

• Multidisciplinary treatment of genitourinary rhabdomyosarcoma
• Surgical management of Wilms tumor
• Children and adolescents with testicular cancer
• Fertility Preservation Program, offering options to prepubertal children before undergoing gonadotoxic treatment for pediatric cancers
• Expertise in surgical management of children with primary and reoperative hypospadias
• Expertise in robotic surgery for treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction and other congenital anomalies
• Surgical treatment of kidney and ureteral stones, with subsequent co-management in the Pediatric Stone Clinic with our Pediatric Nephrology team
• Management of neurogenic bladder, in conjunction with Mayo Clinic's Cerebral Palsy/Spina Bifida Specialty Clinic
• Prenatal diagnosis of urologic problems, meeting with families to discuss postnatal care
• Common pediatric urologic conditions such as vesicoureteral reflux, undescended testicle, recurrent urinary tract infections, and enuresis
• Promoting each patient's understanding of disease and empowering patients and caregivers to become partners in managing their health

In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Granberg is active in research and education, serves as an Associate Program Directro for the Urology Residency program, and provides mentorship to medical students and residents. She is the Surgeon-in-Chief of the Mayo Clinic Children's Center.
