Departments and specialties

Mayo Clinic has one of the largest and most experienced practices in the United States, with campuses in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota. Staff skilled in dozens of specialties work together to ensure quality care and successful recovery.

Research

Mayo Clinic researchers are working to improve treatment with ileoanal anastomosis surgery. Studies cover a wide range of areas, including pouch-related complications of IPAA such as pouchitis, Crohn's disease of the pouch and clostridium difficile infection (CDI); preoperative risk factors for failure of restorative proctocolectomy (RPC) with IPAA; the relationship of weight to successful IPAA surgery; and outcomes of laparoscopic IPAA.
