Research

A team of doctors discusses 3D printing Mayo Clinic team discussion

A team of healthcare professionals discusses research and technology, including 3D printing of models of the heart.

Mayo Clinic cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and other researchers use and study innovative surgical methods for heart valve repair and heart valve replacement. This includes minimally invasive heart surgery and catheter procedures. Doctors and surgeons also use 3D printing models of the heart and valves to evaluate the heart and prepare to do heart valve surgery.

Researchers study new treatments and surgical techniques for people who have heart valve disease. Learn more about research in the Cardiovascular Research Center.
