Make food labels your new best friend

Food labels can help you learn important information about what you're eating, including calories, fat, sodium and other nutrient content. Food labels can also tell you how to gauge serving sizes. You may be surprised to learn that serving sizes are smaller than you thought. For instance, one serving of carbohydrates is one slice of whole-grain bread, not two slices. While food labels may not make it on your book club list, they're good reading.
