To increase range of motion:

  1. Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Slowly bring your foot back toward the chair, bending your knee as far as possible.
  3. Push your foot back out as far away from your body as possible and repeat.
  4. With each repetition, try to pull your foot a little farther.
  5. Repeat this exercise 20 times, two to three times a day.
