Investigación

Mayo Clinic researchers are advancing the understanding and management of IPMNs through multidisciplinary programs focused on risk stratification, biomarker discovery, advanced imaging and early cancer detection. Investigators study pancreatic cysts and precursor lesions to identify patients at highest risk for progression to pancreatic cancer. Their work includes development of molecular biomarkers from cyst fluid and blood, innovative endoscopic techniques, surveillance strategies for pancreatic cystic lesions, and translational research aimed at improving early diagnosis and personalized treatment of pancreatic neoplasms. Cancer research is conducted in coordination with the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center.
