   The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate accelerated resolution therapy (ART) for treatment of cancer distress and psychological trauma.

3. Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program

   Rochester, Minn.

   The aims of this study will be to measure changes in postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) symptoms, functional disability and catastrophizing subsequent to patients’ participating in the 2-day Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program.

4. An Open Label Trial of TMS Therapy for Bipolar Depression

   Rochester, Minn.

   Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an increasingly accepted neurostimulation- based treatment for major depressive disorder. While there is a growing anecdotal database supporting its use in bipolar depression the investigators propose to collect open label efficacy and safety data in a small population of patients with clinically verified bipolar disorder.

5. A Study to Assess the Effectiveness and Safety of MYDAYIS® (d-amphetamine / l-amphetamine) Versus a Placebo for Bipolar Depression

   The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of MYDAYIS® as an augmentation agent for bipolar depression.

6. Social Media Intervention to Promote Smoking Treatment Utilization and Cessation among Alaska Native Smokers

   The purpose of this study is to develop and pilot test a culturally relevant, Facebook delivered intervention to promote smoking treatment uptake and cessation among Alaska Native (AN) smokers.

7. Attitudes and Beliefs About Gene Transfer Therapy in Adults with Cocaine Use Disorder

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to investigate the facilitators and barriers of adults with a history of cocaine use disorder (CocUD) in sustained remission to participating in a Phase I gene transfer study aimed at reducing the rate of cocaine relapse. 

8. Impact of Massage Therapy and Music Therapy on the Quality of Life of Hospice Patients

   Rochester, Minn.

   This is a cohort study where subjects will receive either massage therapy or music therapy interventions to evaluate their impact on hospice patients.

9. A Study to Build Translational Science through an Online Social Media Community Partnership Among Minnesota Communities, the CTSA Community Engagement Programs at Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota

   The purpose of this study is to develop and pilot a novel community-engaged communication network statewide in Minnesota through social media; to assess community knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of ongoing and completed research, and to increase access to information about and participation in research. 

10. A Study to Evaluate the Use of a Daily Diary to Guide Patient Care in Patients at RIsk of Suicide

    Eau Claire, Wis.

    The purpose of this study is to better understand the rates of suicidal thinking and self-harm behaviors among patients in the Chippewa Valley by identifying the daily markers/factors associated with near-term (proximal) escalation in mental health crises and suicide risk among patients so that clinicians can be better prepared to monitor risk and intervene.
