The purpose of this study is to identify genetic and metabolomic biomarkers associated with acamprosate response in previously collected samples. A Study to Evaluate Jaspr Application Compared to Care As Usual (CAU) in Emergency Department Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to compare Jaspr to Care-as-Usual (CAU) in Emergency departments nationwide. A Study to Evaluate Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) in Major Depressive Disorder Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of statistical agreement between observed clinical outcomes (non-response/remission) after 8 weeks of treatment and the outcomes predicted by an Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI)-based clinical decision support tool after 2 weeks of follow up. A Study to Evaluate the CAMS Relational Agent System (CAMS-RAS) for Suicide Prevention Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is a continuation of the Phase I feasibility study where the investigators fully met and exceeded project aims to design, build, and test the usability and acceptability of an avatar-based system, the Virtual-CAMS (V-CAMS, formerly called CAMS-RAS), for use by suicidal ED patients and medical personnel responsible for their care. Phase II includes a formative phase, during which the investigators will continue conducting usability and acceptability tests of new features, and a summative phase to conduct a clinical trial. SBIR Phase II project aims include: (1) Complete development of V-CAMS, including readiness for electronic health record integration; (2) Cultivate and utilize the advisory board so that V-CAMS is positioned to meet the needs of diverse healthcare systems and successful conduct of the proposed research; (3) Conduct usability/acceptability tests of new features with target end-users (suicidal patients, including those in the ED, medical providers) and key stakeholders (i.e., administrators); and (4) Conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT; N=90) of suicidal ED patients comparing V-CAMS (n=45) to Care-As-Usual (CAU; n=45). Participants will be assessed at baseline while in the ED, and again at 7, 30, and 90 days. The investigators predict that V-CAMS participants will report a significantly greater decrease in suicidal behaviors and ED/hospital admissions, as well as significantly greater increases in use of behavioral coping skills, self-efficacy in coping with distress, and perceived helpfulness of patients' ED experience. Advanced Care Planning in Dementia Jacksonville, Fla. The goal of this study is to gain a better understanding of the status of advanced care planning among caregivers of patients with dementia and examine how this differs by race and disease stage. A Study to Evaluate Cancer Distress, Psychological Trauma, and Resiliency in Hospitalized Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Patients Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to better understand the distress experience of hospitalized patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), and to examine the relationship between cancer distress, psychological trauma, and resiliency over time. A Study of Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase Function in Neural Development and Function Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to obtain punch biopsies obtained from individuals with intellectual disability (ID) associated with dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) deficiency and unaffected related controls (e.g., biological parents and/or siblings), to derive patient-specific reprogrammed cells, characterize reprogrammed cells and differentiated neural tissues by comparing molecular genetics and cellular phenotypes through comprehensive gene expression profiles, proteomic analysis, metabolic measurements, and physical measurements, and determine if changes in neural differentiation and/or function can be ameliorated through correction of DPD deficiency, enzyme replacement therapy, or treatment with other compounds. A Study to Evaluate Treatment of Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Syndrome with Melatonin in Patients with Comorbid Alcohol Use Disorders Rochester, Minn. The purposes of this study are to demonstrate the feasibility of assessing delayed dim light melatonin onset (DLMO) in patients with comorbid AUD and DSWPD utilizing a combination of questionnaires and laboratory assay of salivary melatonin levels, and to examine the impact of low-dose melatonin on SOL and overall sleep quality in patients withcomorbid AUD and DSWPD with delayed DLMO compared to those without delayed DLMO. Glasses for Adolescent Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder (GLAD) Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to determine if evening amber glasses combined with stable wake times will show an increase in total sleep time (TST), and an advance in sleep onset times (shift earlier) compared to the control group. A Study Evaluating the Prevalence, Incidence and Predictors for Development of the Impulse Control Disorders in Patients with Prolactinomas Treated with Dopamine Agonist Therapy Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to establish incidence and prevalence of Impulse Control Disorders (ICDs) in patients with prolactinomas treated with dopamine agonists (DA), to determine the predictors of ICD development, and to establish a predictor scoring system that could be subsequently validated and applied prior to initiation of DA.
