La queratosis actínica se manifiesta en forma de manchas escamosas y ásperas, cuyo color varía de rosa oscuro o tostado a marrón. Estas manchas, conocidas también como queratosis solar, suelen aparecer en las zonas expuestas al sol en las personas de piel clara. Si no se trata, la queratosis actínica puede convertirse en un tipo de cáncer de piel que se conoce como carcinoma de células escamosas.
