Biografía: Resumen
Dr. K.L.Venkatachalam is a clinical cardiac
electrophysiologist with a special interest in atrial fibrillation treatment
(invasive and non-invasive) and cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator
implantation. He is also a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.
Dr. Venkatachalam studies interventional
approaches to managing rhythm disorders of the heart.
He combines his background in electronics
engineering design and clinical cardiac electrophysiology to develop catheters,
electronic hardware and software to enhance safety and efficacy in the
electrophysiology lab during the evaluation and ablation of arrhythmias,
specifically atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He also
investigates novel drug treatments for supraventricular tachycardia.
He also has a significant interest in novel
approaches to teaching residents and fellows about cardiac rhythm recognition
and management.
