Jean-Claude Velasquez, M.H.A., is a graduate of Columbia University in the City of New York. During his studies at Columbia, he spent a year working in project management at the Mount Sinai Health System in the areas of health system engineering.

He completed his graduate administrative residency at Intermountain Healthcare in quality improvement and public relations. Jean-Claude also has an interest in reducing health disparities in the health care system and spent a year at the Office of Health Equity in NYC Health + Hospitals.

He holds an undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from Stony Brook University. While in school both at Columbia and Stony Brook, Jean-Claude taught English as a second language to recent immigrants of the Washington Heights and Harlem communities.

He is an avid traveler and a nature photographer and has a goal to visit all seven continents by age 30.
