Spending time near Mayo Clinic.
Evaluation, surgery, and recovery have different timelines. Depending on your needs, you may spend about two weeks near Mayo Clinic during evaluation. Plan to stay nearby for at least three months for recovery and follow-up after transplant. Your care team will explain what applies to you, help you and your caregiver prepare, and coordinate your appointments to make the most of your time at Mayo Clinic.

- How long will my caregiver need to stay with me?
