The clinical and research interests of Bruce A. Levy, M.D., focus on complex knee and hip trauma with a particular emphasis on knee dislocation, multiple ligament knee reconstruction, primary and revision ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair and transplantation as well as hip arthroscopy for labral tears and femoro-acetabular impingement (FAI).

Dr. Levy helps patients of all activity levels from professional to recreational with knee and hip injuries return to activities they enjoy through open and arthroscopic surgery using minimally invasive techniques, education and physical rehabilitation.

He has served on the AAOS Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee and is a principal investigator for several multicenter trials funded by the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense. Dr. Levy is on the editorial board for several journals, served on the Board of Trustees for the Journal Arthroscopy and served as the Sports Medicine Deputy Editor for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. He has chaired numerous AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons), AOSSM (American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine) and AANA (Arthroscopic Association of North America) symposia and instructional course lectures on complex knee and hip injuries.

Dr. Levy is a member of the prestigious Herodicus Society, a consultant for the National Basketball Association/National Basketball Players Association and a team physician for US Snowboard team. He is the fellowship director for the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Surgical fellowship. He has published more than 275 papers in scientific literature, countless book chapters, and lectures extensively nationally and internationally. He was named one of the Best Doctors in America on multiple occasions.
