Amy C. Fahrenkamp, Ph.D., L.P.

Dr. Fahrenkamp joined the faculty at Mayo Clinic in September 2020 as an associate consultant in child and adolescent psychology. Prior to this, Dr. Fahrenkamp was post-doctoral medical psychology fellow (Clinical Child Track) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Minnesota Duluth and her doctorate from Kent State University in Kent, OH. She completed her clinical internship in pediatric psychology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Dr. Fahrenkamp's clinical work focuses on providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with various medical conditions and physical symptoms. Her research interests focus on the role of stress on pediatric health outcomes, such as chronic pain/symptoms, with a specific focus on how stress impacts problematic eating in the context of physical health outcomes.
