Ali Duarte Garcia, M.D., M.S., is a rheumatologist with special interest in systemic autoimmune diseases. He holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

His clinical focus and expertise includes:

  • Diagnosis, evaluation and management of systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome.
  • Complex evaluation and coordination of care for patients with undiagnosed, treatment-refractory, or otherwise challenging systemic autoimmune diseases.

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Duarte Garcia's research focus is on health services and epidemiologic research of systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome and is actively involved in mentoring students, residents and fellows.
