ماء جوز الهند هو السائل الصافي الموجود في داخل ثمرة جوز الهند. ونظراً لأنه يحتوي على الكهارل بشكل طبيعي كالبوتاسيوم والصوديوم والمنغنيز يشيع استعماله في حال التجفاف بعد التمرين الرياضي. لكن تحتوي 8 اونصات من ماء جوز الهند على 45 إلى 60 سعرة حرارية. فإذا كان تناول هذه السعرات الحرارية يعني تجاوز حد السعرات الحرارية اليومية فقد يزداد وزنك بسهولة بمعدل 5 إِلى 6 أرطال في السنة. وفي حين أنه يُمكن مقارنة ماء جوز الهند ببعض المشروبات الرياضية إلا أن الماء العادي لا يزال الخيار الأفضل للشرب بعد التمرين الرياضي كونه خال من السعرات الحرارية.
