إن اتباع نظام غذائي صحي لا يعني الامتناع عن تناول الحلوى. جرب هذا البديل الصحي. ضع كوبًا واحدًا من الماء، مع نصف كوب من السكر وقرنًا من قرون الفانيليا (مع شقه وكشط البذور) في قدرٍ على نار هادئة، مع التحريك المتكرر، حتى يذوب السكر. اطبخ المكونات على نارٍ هادئة حتى يغلظ قوام الخليط لمدة 10 دقائق تقريبًا. انزع البذور وقسِّم أربع ثمرات كبيرة من الخوخ إلى أرباع. أضفهم إلى القدر واسلقهم على نار هادئة لمدة خمس دقائق تقريبًا. انقل الخوخ إلى أوعية صغيرة وزيِّنها بالقليل من القرفة أو غصن من النعناع الطازج.
