Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Anorexia
  2. black or tarry stools
  3. bone fractures
  4. breathing difficulties
  5. burning or stinging of the ear
  6. chest pain
  7. continual stomach pain or burning
  8. decreased or blurred vision
  9. excess hair growth in females
  10. fainting
  11. flushing
  12. frequent urination
  13. headache
  14. high blood pressure
  15. impaired wound healing
  16. impotence in males
  17. increased sweating
  18. increased thirst
  19. irregular heartbeat
  20. low blood pressure
  21. menstrual changes
  22. muscle cramps
  23. muscle wasting
  24. nausea or vomiting
  25. persistent fungal infections of the ear
  26. rapid weight gain
  27. seizures
  28. stomach bloating
  29. suppressed growth in children
  30. suppressed reaction to skin tests
  31. swelling of feet or lower legs
  32. thin fragile skin
  33. tingling in arms and lower legs or feet
  34. vertigo
  35. weight loss

There have not been any other common or important side effects reported with this medicine.
