يعمل باحثو مايو كلينك على تقديم علاجات محسَّنة لعُسر الهضم الوظيفي.

ويدرس الباحثون في برنامج علم الأعصاب المعوية آليات عمل الجهاز الهضمي، التي تشمل المنعكسات العصبية بين المعدة والدماغ. وتشمل مجالات البحث الأخرى دور الخصائص الوراثية في عُسر الهضم واستخدام أدوية جديدة لتقليل حساسية المعدة.
