يمكن أن يسبب شرب مشروبات تحتوي على الكافيين ارتفاع ضغط الدم مؤقتًا. إذا كنت قلقًا بشأن تأثير الكافيين على ضغط دمك، حاول تقليل كمية الكافيين التي تتناولها إلى 200 ملليغرام يوميًا، وهي نفس الكمية التي تتناولها في أكواب القهوة المتخمرة بوزن 12 أونصات (355 ملليلترًا). وننصح أيضًا بتجنب تناول الكافيين مباشرةً قبل الأنشطة التي ترفع ضغط الدم بصورة طبيعية، مثل ممارسة التمارين أو أداء مجهود بدني شاق.
