Dr. Shea is a pediatrician with a background in pediatric intensive care and pediatric hospitalist medicine and a clinical focus on pediatric complex chronic care for patients and their families. Her clinical areas of focus include:

  • Expertise in management of children with complex, chronic disease such as cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, feeding difficulties, and respiratory insufficiency
  • Complex coordination of care and diagnosis of unresolved illness
  • Patient education resources for families regarding their child's unique medication conditions
  • Fostering subspecialty evaluations to assist in medical management
  • Providing a plan and resources for a holistic, multidimensional wellness approach for both the pediatric child/adolescent and their parents/caregivers

In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Shea has provided medical expertise to the Visitation Clinic all Haitian medical team in Petite Riviere de Nippes, Haiti since 2001 through the Visitation Hospital Foundation.
