Dr. Osborne graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 1990, and thereafter The Ohio State University – College of Medicine in 1994. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, he pursued his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Rochester, MN: 1995-98), and subsequently, a fellowship in Sports Medicine (1998-99) and a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine (1999-2000). Dr. Osborne remained at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida following his fellowship training holding appointments in the Departments of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Anesthesia, and Neurosurgery. During the course of his early career Dr. Osborne elected to focus on Spinal Disorders / Spine Interventions and was recruited to the faculty of the newly established Department of Pain Medicine where he served as the Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship for 8 years.

Professional Affiliations:

  • Dr. Osborne is a longstanding member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) and is committed to improving patient-centered research, public and professional education, and science-based policy. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the AAPM's Scientific Review and Guidelines Committee, and is an active member of other committees with in the AAPM as well.
