Dr. Vishal Khullar is a Cardiac Surgeon at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his residency training in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center, Mumbai, India in 2010. He was then offered a staff position in the department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center, Mumbai.
In 2014, Dr. Khullar continued his training in Advanced Cardiovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He then went on to complete his sub-specialization training in Advanced Aortic Surgery, Heart/Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. He returned to Mayo Clinic to join as a staff in the department of Cardiovascular Surgery.
Dr. Khullar has unique skills in Lung/Heart Transplantation, Mechanical Circulatory support and complex re-operative cardiac surgery and has been involved in one of the most complex cardiac surgical procedures.
