Kurt Jaeckle, M.D., is a neuro-oncologist who has directed the clinical trials program in Neurooncology at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Afterwards, he completed a rotating medicine internship, a neurology residency, and a neuromuscular disease fellowship at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was also Chief Resident. He went on to complete a neurooncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York, and a clinical neurology/neurooncology fellowship at The New York Hospital in New York.

Dr. Jaeckle is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and neuro-oncology by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties, and has been published in more than 100 peer-reviewed journals and abstracts in his field. He has served as primary or co-investigator on several national and international Phase I-IV clinical trials, with emphasis on precision medicine, targeted therapies and immunotherapy, vaccines, and chemotherapy. He has served as Chair, co-chair or as a member on committees for the American Academy of Neurology, Society for Neurooncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the National Cancer Institute.

In his free time, Dr. Jaeckle enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Bunny Leach-Jaeckle, and supports her role as Director of the Nicki Leach Foundation, which promotes research involving Adolescents and Young Adults with cancer. He is also a luthier, and builds and repairs acoustic and electric guitars.
