Biographical summary
Tarik Haddad, M.D. is a transplant pulmonologist in the Gary and Dianne McCalla Center for Transplantation and Regenerative Care at Mayo Clinic hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and has a special focus in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
He received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean, Netherlands Antilles, and completed his residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care and pulmonary transplant at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Haddad was in the pulmonary transplant field for more than 10 years. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in critical care medicine, internal medicine, and pulmonary disease, and is published in numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of pulmonary medicine.
