Christopher C. DeStephano, M.D., is a gynecologist at Mayo Clinic hospital in Jacksonville, Florida who specializes in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. DeStephano has been active in medical and surgical education through his work on the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists Simulation Working Group. He was awarded the Mayo Clinic Education Science Career Development Award, and has received awards for education research from the Council of Residency Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the AAGL Global Congress in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. DeStephano has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters that focus on a wide range of gynecologic research.
