Almond crusted chicken

Serves 4

Tip: Almonds add crunch and nutrition to your same-old chicken.

  1. Add 3/4 cup ground almonds.
  2. Add 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon onion powder.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon dry thyme.
  7. Add 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  8. Pour 1/2 cup skim milk.
  9. Coat 4 boneless chicken breasts in almond mixture.
  10. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  11. Sear chicken breasts until golden brown.
  12. Sear other side for 1 minute.
  13. Bake 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 F.
