Women's Health Clinic in Minnesota

Overview

The Women's Health Clinic provides specialty care for women with menopausal or sexual health concerns. The clinic offers patients a unique experience by combining clinical expertise with an integrated approach to the special health needs of women. The team of specialists work cooperatively in one location to diagnose, treat and counsel each patient.

The Women's Health Clinic provides evaluation and treatment for the following concerns:

  • Menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness and other related concerns
  • Questions about hormone therapy or alternatives
  • Sexual health concerns such as loss of sexual desire or drive, problems with arousal or orgasm, pain or discomfort with intercourse

Coordination of care
Physicians in the Women's Health Clinic listen to each woman's concerns, work to identify and understand her needs, and then develop an appropriate treatment plan in coordination with her primary care provider. Consultation is provided by an integrated team of specialists in gynecology, general internal medicine, psychology, sex therapy, nutrition and lifestyle counseling.

Information shared as part of sexual health consultation is kept confidential. With the patient's permission, a summary of medical recommendations can be sent to her primary care or referring provider. To ensure ongoing coordination of care, Women's Health Clinic staff members encourage each woman to discuss treatment plans with her primary care team. The Women's Health Clinic is committed to continuous improvement in the quality of care and services offered to each woman.
