Two volunteers make rounds with the shopping cart Tuesday through Friday mornings, visiting patient rooms. The cart is supplied with items a patient may need in the hospital, as well as candy, stationery and magazines. The opportunity exists for brief visits with patients and family members. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. (may vary with patient census).
Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers have opportunities to make rounds with the shopping cart on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the shift times are 3:30 – 5 p.m.
