Volunteer Groups

Rochester Methodist Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers

The Rochester Methodist Hospital Auxiliary was officially organized in 1955 with 40 members. Today, men and women volunteer their time, talent and skills to support services for patients, visitors and staff. Volunteers also serve in leadership positions on the auxiliary volunteer board. The mission of the organization has remained the same throughout the years: "To serve the patients at Rochester Methodist Hospital and assist the staff in any way possible, making a smooth, safe, and efficient operation of Rochester Methodist Hospital."

The term "auxiliary" can be defined "to offer help, assistance or support." This is exactly what we do. When you volunteer your services at the hospital, you demonstrate a desire to contribute to making the patients more comfortable and better served. In so doing, you are helping the staff of the hospital.
