Guidelines for sites linking to mayoclinic.org
Volunteers notify patients' family members and friends in the waiting area when a patient procedure has been completed and the patient is in the recovery room. Volunteers may also talk with patients while they wait for a procedure.
Additionally, volunteers may assist patients to the waiting area and stock the patient bays with supplies.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon and
1 to 3:30 p.m.
