I joined Rochester Methodist Hospital (RMH) Auxiliary after Rochester State Hospital closed. I worked on several services. I enjoyed the patient contact. I returned to nursing at Assisi Heights. After retiring, I returned to RMH Auxiliary volunteering in Special Projects.
Special Projects is a very special service. I enjoy working with other volunteers each Tuesday morning. I do most of the sewing at home for bereavement. We make small stuffed animals to distribute to children within the hospital. We also make "feelie" hearts for Oncology, small pillows for hospitalized Auxilians — these are just some of the items we make.
