Each patient floor has a Dayroom lounge area. Some floors have vending facilities for patients' relatives and friends. The volunteer visits with each patient after he or she is admitted to the floor, and explains the services available during hospitalization. Volunteers fulfill requests for errands within the hospital. The volunteer visits with relatives and friends waiting in the lounge area. Two shifts, Monday through Friday morning and afternoon. Flexible hours.
