Blood Donor Center Assistance

Volunteers assist the nursing staff by offering refreshments to patients after blood donations. It is important to make the donors feel valued for the gift of blood they have given.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, welcoming attitude
  • Able to identify and get emergency assistance for donors, if necessary
  • Willing to keep waiting area tidy by picking up and disposing of litter
  • May be asked to supervise small children while parent is donating blood
  • Cooperative attitude toward Blood Donor staff

Physical Requirements

  • Able to handle hot liquids (coffee and tea)
  • Able to stand, bend and walk for short periods of time
