Ventricular Assist Devices

Research

Mayo Clinic doctors trained in heart diseases (cardiologists), doctors trained in heart surgery (cardiac surgeons) and other doctors actively study new ventricular assist devices and other heart assist devices, including the total artificial heart. Researchers also study smaller ventricular assist devices for smaller adults or children. You may have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials. Learn more about cardiovascular research on the research website.

Publications

See a list of publications by Mayo Clinic doctors on ventricular assist devices on PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine.
