How soon are appointments available?
Appointment availability depends on the nature and urgency of the problem and the ability of Mayo Clinic to help, as determined by a Mayo physician.

Do you need a doctor's referral to get into Mayo?
No, anyone can make an appointment at Mayo Clinic simply by calling the appointment office. A doctor's referral is not necessary, although information on a patient's past treatment is always helpful.
