Vascular Center in Arizona

Research

Mayo Clinic physicians are actively involved in research studies that lead to medical innovations and improvements in patient care and safety. Vascular medicine investigators are at the forefront of research related to the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.

Mayo Clinic physicians have helped develop minimally invasive procedures and are leaders in the use of minimally invasive surgery for vascular diseases. These less invasive procedures require only small incisions, minimize blood loss and allow for a faster recovery.

Physicians from the Vascular Malformation Clinic conduct many research studies. Research initiatives in the Vascular Malformation Clinic include:

  • Management of middle aortic syndrome
  • Management of primary chylous disorders
  • Treatment of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
  • Treatment of vascular complications of Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome
