Urinary Incontinence

Treatment of Children

Because most cases of incontinence (bed-wetting) gradually decrease as a child matures, treatment is rarely recommended before age 6. However, medications and training devices that sound an alarm at the first sign of wetness are available to treat bed-wetting. Pediatric urologists at Mayo Clinic will help the family decide on the best course of treatment following a thorough evaluation. Read more about bed-wetting.
