Clinical Assistant

Patient Service Representative

  • Perform various clerical, electronic, and customer service duties including management, maintenance, and flow of patient information (medical records and test reports)
  • Coordinate physician and patient appointment schedules
  • Receive patients and visitors
  • Answer phones
  • Perform a variety of other support activities

Clinical Assistant

  • Facilitate patient visits and support the health care provider by anticipating and responding to patient needs and health care team requests.
  • Coordinate details of patient visits which include:
    • Coordinating appointment schedules and daily activities of the care providers
    • Preparing patients
    • Completing pre-examination record information
    • Managing the flow of patient materials
    • Communicating scheduling delays or changes to the appropriate individuals

Patient Appointment Coordinator

  • Independently schedule and confirm patient appointments for a particular department/division through managing department calendars
  • Accurately determine the nature of the patient's problems, the type of appointment, appropriate area to be evaluated and the urgency of the appointment.
  • Answer phone calls, taking a brief medical history, and independently make appropriate patient appointments
  • Pre-schedule appropriate tests as directed by the department
