Mayo Finance Training Program

Trainee

"No matter who you are or how long you've been here, your colleagues really support and take an interest in you. They took me to meetings, gave me advice, as well as assignments when I needed them. Teamwork is really a hallmark of Mayo."
-- Binal Patel, Finance

The Mayo Clinic Finance Training Program is a two-year learning experience designed to develop outstanding college-prepared individuals committed to a career in health care finance. The program provides the trainee with practical experience through direct exposure to and active participation in a variety of finance activities in preparation for future opportunities within the Mayo Clinic system. The trainee contributes to work units throughout Mayo Clinic Finance. These contributions range from project and task force work to specific role assignments within a finance area. Typically, the program starts during the summer.

In turn, Mayo Clinic will:

  • benefit from the productive efforts of intelligent, energetic individuals
  • attract promising new talent and develop internal staff
  • provide exposure and development to trainees

Compensation and Benefits

Mayo provides a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, life and disability insurance. In addition, trainees receive 23 days of paid time off.
