1883-1889		Partnering with Sisters of Saint Francis Reluctantly collaborating to build a new hospital.

1880s		The New Saint Marys Hospital With not enough beds and only kerosene lamps for light at night the new hospital opens.

1889		The First Surgery Dr. Charles H. Mayo, assisted by his father and brother, performs the first surgery at Saint Marys.

1889-1904		Saint Marys Hospital Chapel Faith and healing go hand in hand.
