Mayo Graduate School
Mayo Graduate School was formally established in 1989. Its mission is to prepare students to be leaders in biomedical research and education. Students graduate with Ph.D. or master's degrees in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, immunology, molecular biology, molecular neuroscience, and pharmacology and tumor biology. A student body of 130 Ph.D. candidates in biomedical sciences receive preparation for careers as competitive, independent research investigators. The Ph.D. program recruits students from throughout the world and has a major emphasis on training. Students in several Mayo schools who desire a more intensive educational experience undertake the master's program.
