After moving to Rochester, the Mayo family lived in this house. The 1914 Building stood on this site; today, the Siebens Building is located there.

Why Rochester?
Appointed examining surgeon for the Union Army in southern Minnesotta, Dr. Mayo liked the vitality of Rochester and soon made it home. |
