Surgeons at Mayo Clinic in Florida are among the most experienced in the United States at using transoral laser microsurgery to remove cancers in the throat. Treatment Team

Mayo Clinic surgeons and other health care professionals work together to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient. Collaborative teams of experienced medical and surgical specialists determine the best treatment for each patient. To treat patients who have tonsil cancer, physicians from Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology work with specialists from other departments, as needed.
