Mayo Clinic has conducted a large retrospective study looking at the survival of patients with ET. Mayo researchers have been instrumental in defining diseases related to ET. Researchers are also interested in studying whether certain therapies affect outcome in a positive or negative way. Currently, Mayo Clinic has grants from the Myeloproliferatic Foundation and the National Cancer Institute for studying these types of diseases. In the last two to three years, Mayo Clinic has conducted approximately 10 different clinical trials pertaining to myeloproliferative diseases.
