Research

Mayo clinic researchers are studying current and future implant technology and techniques as well as expansion of cochlear implant candidacy. Specific efforts involve cochlear implantation for unilateral or asymmetric hearing loss, bilateral implantation and hearing preservation, and improved surgical approaches.
