Carotid artery disease

Carotid artery disease narrows blood vessels leading to your brain and is a common risk factor for stroke.

Stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Stroke is a medical emergency.

Transient ischemic attack (TIA)

Sudden weakness, dizziness and loss of balance might be indications of a transient ischemic attack. And the attack may warn of an impending stroke.
