The support groups at Mayo Clinic in Florida welcome survivors and their caregivers for a time of sharing and encouragement. The meetings are free and open to the public.
The following details include meeting times and contact information for each group:
A community support and education meeting for patients and families who are living with an implantable cardiac defibrillator (AICD). A new educational topic is presented at each session, and a member of the electrophysiology team is present for questions.

A free support group for those who provide care for a loved one with dementia. The meetings focus on Alzheimer's disease and the challenges facing caregivers.
First Thursday of each month

A free support group for amyloidosis patients, their families and caregivers. The meetings are an open forum for discussing topics related to amyloidosis, such as disease education, treatments (including transplantation) and other topics of mutual interest.
This support group will meet about twice a year on a Saturday on the Mayo Clinic campus. Dates will be announced several months ahead of time.

Open to Mayo Clinic patients and employees. Groups are facilitated by a clinical psychologist, a registered dietitian and a physical therapist. Consists of a short presentation by the facilitator followed by open discussion.
